On this International Day of Persons with Disabilities, I’m thinking of Servant of God Father Bill Atkinson - the first quadriplegic priest in the Church and the subject of my August National Catholic Register article.

Today I pray for all those who grapple with disabilities, and for the communities who accompany them with dignity, patience, and love.
